Tennessee offers some of the finest fly fishing opportunities you will find anywhere. Join Tennessee Wild & R&R Fly Fishing for our first ever Women’s Full Day Fly Fishing Clinic. The day will offer expert instruction on the art of fly fishing in a relaxed, stress free environment.
Charity & Ian will be the instructors and this course, open exclusively to women, will teach you the fundamentals of fly fishing. You’ll have an opportunity to learn how to cast and fish in a stream in the Southern Appalachians. No fishing license is required in order to take the class. Rods and reels will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment. All you need bring is your self & your enthusiasm, and perhaps a friend.
Here’s a breakdown of the day, and what you get for the $95 fee, a portion of which supports Tennessee Wild’s work to protect the Cherokee National Forest.
Continental breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided.
Our day will be filled with:
• Multimedia presentations on fly fishing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The Variety of Waters to Fish in Tennessee
• Knot tying so you can learn to attach your leader, tippet and flies
• Multiple sessions of hands on casting instruction
• Overview and information on the correct gear and clothing to use throughout the seasons and in different situations.
