George Nymph
A Smoky Mountain original pattern that fools trout everywhere
$1.75
A relatively unknown fly pattern with deep roots in the Smokies, this fly pattern was developed in the 1930′s on Little River near Elkmont. Eddy George used this fly to earn money during the Great Depression by catching trout and selling them to restaurants.
The fly hasn’t lost any effectiveness over the many decades. Fishes well alone or in tandem with a Tellico Nymph or Speck Wet Fly.
