This nymph pattern is our work horse. We use it on all streams in the Smokies and it’s our most important fly on tailwaters like the Clinch and Holston Rivers.
It fishes well all alone or in tandem with other nymphs. Fish it with a Pat’s Nymph or Tellico in the Smokies and with a Skull & Bones or a Zebra Midge on the tailwaters.
