It’s been beautiful if not a bit cooler for the last couple of weeks here in the Smoky Mountains and East Tennessee. We’ve got another good video fishing report from the stream to share.
It’s pretty tough to guide from the drift boat and get much in the way of good video, particularly on a breezy day, so I don’t have any video from the Clinch, only some pictures.

We’re in for some much cooler weather in the coming days. The tailwaters will probably continue on their current generation schedule which favors floating, but that should break soon and allow for more wading.

Ian,
What kind of camera do you use when you shoot these videos? I’m always impressed by the quality and clarity of the video in your reports.
Thanks

Devin,
Last year we moved to a Canon Powershot. Has a ton of features and is relatively inexpensive. It looks like a SLR but also shoots video. It doesn’t take photos as quickly as our Canon Rebel; there’s a slight delay so we prefer the SLR if we’re strictly going for photos.

Hey Ian and Charity,
Thanks so much for the videos. They keep this lowlander dreaming of the next trip to the Smokies. Beautiful shots.
Take care,
Rick
Ian says
Hey Rick!
Believe it or not your name came up in conversation yesterday when speaking with another fly fisher from your part of the world. Take care and we hope you get back to the Smokies soon.
Best,
Ian
