We’ve never been to Alabama’s Sipsey River tailwater to fly fish for trout but we’ve heard plenty about it from our customers over the years. After a day in a drift boat here in East Tennessee or along a tumbling wild trout stream in the Smokies everyone says it’s essentially good to get a quick fix and much closer than a long drive to Tennessee or North Carolina.
After reviews like that we don’t expect to make the trip there any time soon based on what’s in our backyard, but we can certainly sympathize with those lost trout fishermen in Alabama. Even more so when we hear that already limited access on this tailwater is about to get even more limited.
