We’ll always remember 2013, but probably won’t look back at it so fondly as we do other years. We’ll always remember the severe drought of 2007 and the way it stretched a bit into 2008, but those years weren’t so tough as 2013.
Without a doubt 2013 was the toughest we’ve seen in our eleven years in business. Our rainfall total for the year ended up over 22″ more than an average year. That meant plenty of high water, blown out rivers, unfishable days, and rescheduled or refunded trips. There was also the government shutdown in October when water levels were perfect, bugs were hatching, the fish were happy, and we had plenty of trips scheduled. Once again we faced rescheduling and refunds.
We’re happy to report we came through it all, though. Furthermore there was some pretty good fishing and scenerey in the mix. Here are some of our favorite images from the year.
