We’ve spent the past couple of days traveling around Yellowstone as we always do about this time of year. We’ll be heading over to the Henry’s Fork later today and joining up with a group of fly fishers we’re hosting at TroutHunter. Up to this point we’ve tried to take it easy while still doing some fishing. Charity’s brother and nephews were in the area when we arrived so we spent a day with them and helping them hook up a few trout on the Gallatin River near Big Sky, Montana.
Our kids have always enjoyed the trip and our daughter even made her first trip her when she was 10 weeks old. They love seeing all the wildlife, walking along the rivers and catching a few fish too.
Back on the home front in East Tennessee it looks like a warm and sunny weekend is on the way and fishing on the Clinch should be great with clear water. Streams up in the Smokies are in great shape as overnight temperatures along the the crest of the mountains have been down in the 40’s. This means cooler water and energized fish. Go get ’em!
