We thrilled to let you in on a little bit of a secret! A Nashville based film crew is currently working on a documentary about Smoky Mountain brook trout. There’s already been several days of filming with many more to come as the season progresses.
Hollis Bennett is one of the film makers involved and says:
“Recently I had the pleasure of coming back to the Smokies to start work on a new documentary about native brook trout and the successes we have seen with them in the park as well as the challenges they still face. This was just phase one of what is looking like a multi faceted, in depth look at the fishery as well as all the people it touches.
As much as this piece will be a story about the fish, it’s as much about the people who are fortunate enough to enjoy their company out in the wild spaces that we are all so fortunate to have!”
We’ve been fortunate to be involved along the way and can’t wait to see more! We’ll keep you posted as previews and the full film are eventually released.
