It was another spectacular week in September at TroutHunter on the Henry’s Fork. This was our 8th year hosting a group there and we’ve come to think of all the staff and guides there as family. In fact we even arrived early this year to attend the wedding of one our guides who has become a dear friend of ours over the years.
As always, the scenery was top notch and the fishing was about as good as you could imagine for six days. I think everyone had a day when the fishing was little tougher than other days, but at the same time there were at least one or two in the group who had a standout day everyday. We’ve put together some of our favorite photos to show off the incredible fishing and scenery from an unforgettable week.

Kim Rougeaux caught larger fish but none were so pretty as this brook trout she caught with guide Rance Dye

Henry’s Lake produced some whoppers for guide Tim Fisher this year like this cuttbow caught by Keith Flanders

Boone Rutter cheers on sister Willow as she brings in a fish in the Coffee Pot Rapids on the upper Henry’s Fork

An incredible moment on the upper Henry’s Fork as Joanna Payne takes a break from fishing to observe a bull moose, cow moose, and calf from the drift boat

Ian and Boone watch the full moon set over the Henry’s Fork a few minutes before sunrise while elk bugle across the river. A picture could never do it justice…

Zane Roper caught the biggest brook trout anyone had seen this season at TroutHunter although guide Pat Gaffney had his eye on this one for a while.

Doh!!! Mike Roper caught an immense rainbow trout. One of the biggest this season at TroutHunter and a career best for his guide Ryan Loftice.

Guide Karlie Roland shows off a terrific trout Jeff Miller caught on a dry fly on Sheridan Spring Creek

Great photos. I can’t how much your kids have grown.
Ian says
We know! Old enough to handle a fly rod without any assistance any more.
