Fly Fishing at the End of the World
Patagonia in Argentina with Ian & Charity
February 11 – 21, 2026
The total length of time will be a combination of 10 nights spread across three different lodges in three separate locations.
We’ll start in the north at Valle Carrileufu Lodge for 3 nights. Next we’ll mover further south and into the Andes at El Encuentro Lodge for 3 nights. Our last destionation is the most remote, the Brook Trout Base Camp near the border with Chile for 4 nights stay.

This is a fun itinerary that takes us from the small town of Cholila in the north all the way down to the high plains of the Corcovado Plateau and everything in between.
Our final stop of the trip will be at the Brook Trout Base Camp for a rustic-but-elegant “glamping” experience. Sleeping accommodations are tastefully designed small casitas, just steps from the murmuring river. Each accommodation is equipped with two twin or one king bed, a private bath with plenty of hot water, electric lights, screened and shaded windows, and a propane heater.
Meals are prepared and served in a spacious dining tent, well-appointed with sofas and two wood stoves, featuring local ingredients produce from our gardens at the main lodge, and creative cuisine that is easily on par with any first-rate lodge.
See for yourself! (The cabins are new this season. Before now the accommodations were wall tents.)
Cost per angler $11,800
Double Occupancy and shared guide
Gratuities and travel expenses not included

Our intention is to provide the most magical, outstanding fly fishing trip possible. We have relied upon our good friends Jonathan Heames and Justin Spence at Big Sky Anglers to help us put together this itinerary. These are the same folks we work with in West Yellowstone for our incredible trips each September to Montana.
These folks are the Patagonia fly fishing experts. They have not only fished but also guided on many of these waters and helped develop the guiding at these destinations. This is not a trip that anyone simply put together on their own.
Even as we will be moving between lodges, there will not be any days solely dedicated to travel once we are in Patagonia. Transfer days will entail driving away from the previous lodge, fishing for the day, then completing travel to the next lodge for the evening. We will be able to cover the most ground and have the most variety possible.
If you don’t think you can fish for the entire time there are also other activities you can do at the estancias. This allows you to give yourself a break if necessary. It’s a great trip and we can’t wait for you to join us!
