We’ve set the date for our 2008 trip to Turneffe Flats Belize.
February 23 – March 1, 2008
We’ve hosted this trip twice and it’s one of the most incredible fly fishing experiences we have ever done. Join us for six days of guided fly fishing in the Turneffe Atoll off the coast of Belize. This is a remote location with hundreds of square miles of flats that have tailing bonefish and permit. Tarpon are less common in February but we had several shots last year. Ian jumped one and another angler in our group had one on for several minutes before it broke off in the mangroves.
It’s almost impossible to verbalize what it’s like to see a tailing bonefish rush your fly then watch your line leave a rooster tail as it cuts the water. Same with casting to a 25 pound permit only yards away in two and half feet of water or watching a large tarpon inhale your fly before it erupts from the water. Watch this video. It’s more fun than reading!
